When I got married to my husband, he had 3 cats. In the beginning, I was a little scared when the cats came near to me to play.
But the time flies and now we love playing with each other and oh, did I tell you now we have 9 cats?
They don’t stay with us in our house but they live, play, eat, and sleep in our backyard.
Let me share five life lessons I learned from my cats and will be helpful for you, too.
Be Confident
Our cat, Ruby, is the most confident cat in all of them. She’s not afraid of anything or anyone. One time, she chased away a dog that was much bigger than her.
Don’t be afraid to stand up and fight for what you want in your life.
Take Care of Yourself

Cherry, our little kitten, always cleans himself after he eats, after he is done playing, and before sleep. He taught me to make some time for self-care. Now I spend every Sunday, doing skincare, reading books, and spending time with myself.
Make sure to take care of our own physical and mental health.
Live in the Present Moment
We have 4 kittens and they are always in the present moment. They are playing with each other, jumping around, chasing a squirrel in our backyard, and teasing each other.
Try to live more in the present moment.
Be Curious

Our cat, Gogi, is a very curious cat. She’s always poking her nose into things and smelling whenever we have some food around! haha! She loves to eat. She is a red cat and I think my favorite one. (well, I love all of them but she is very special.)
Ask questions, try new things, and step outside of your comfort zone.
Be Playful

Bobby loves running around and encouraging other cats to play with him. He even starts playing with us like we are cats and scratching his little paws without realizing his nails would hurt us. He is super cute, always jumping around.
Make time for play in our lives. Play is a great way to relieve stress, boost creativity, and have fun.
Time for a little joke…
What do you call a cat that loves unconditionally?
- A purrfect friend!
Bonus tip: If you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed, just spend some time with your cat. Petting a cat has been shown to reduce stress and lower blood pressure. So next time you’re feeling down, cuddle up with your furry friend and let them help you relax.
